The Cleveland Cavaliers have added some depth at point guard after reportedly spending the past week looking to shore up the position.
Isaiah Taylor has agreed to a one-year contract with Cleveland, league sources told Yahoo Sports' Shams Charania.
The 24-year-old made 67 appearances last season for the 24-win Atlanta Hawks, including nine starts. He averaged 6.6 points, 1.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 0.5 steals on 41.8 percent shooting in 17.4 minutes per game prior to being waived in June.
Taylor went undrafted in 2016, and spent a good chunk of the year in the G League with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, though he did miss a significant number of games with a groin injury.
Cleveland currently has veteran George Hill and eighth overall pick Collin Sexton at the point, with Taylor projected to fall behind both players on the depth chart.
